| Matt and Lexi arrived back at the house as Jeff and Ryann were packing the rest of their things in Jeff�s Corvette. Matt turned to Lexi and asked, �What do you suppose they are up to?� �I have no idea, Ryann hasn�t mentioned anything to me about the two of them going anywhere.� Matt and Lexi walked over to the car, and Ryann said, �Hey, you guys back already?� �Yeah�� Lexi said. �So what�s up?� �Ryann and I are going to spend the first week of our vacation in Vermont, so we�re going to drive up to Boston instead of flying.� �And when did you two decide this?� Matt asked. �About an hour ago. We are going to leave tomorrow morning. Are the two of you still flying to Boston with Amy Sunday affternoon?� Ryann inquired. �Probably. So you are going to be gone for a whole week?� Matt asked, with somewhat of a sad look on his face. �Don�t worry Matt,� Ryann said as she threw her arm around his neck. �We�ll be home before you know it. This will also give us all our own time together.� �Something that I think we ALL need.� Jeff said. �The four of us live together, eat together, and travel together. And it�s not that I don�t love the two of you guys, because I do. But Ryann and I just need some time for us.� �Jeff, I understand what you�re saying, and that�s cool. � Matt said. �So are you going to pick us up on Sunday at the airport?� �Yes, we�ll pick you up Matt.� Ryann said. �We wouldn�t forget you dear.� Ryann patted Matt on the back. �You�re such a smart ass Ryann.� Matt told her. �You always have some comment that you just have to say.� �Yes I do Matthew, but I wouldn�t be me if I didn�t.� Jeff pulled Ryann into his arms and said, �And that�s what I love about you.� �I know�� Ryann replied, sarcastically. Matt, Lexi and Jeff all started laughing. �Well, now that the car is packed, do ya�ll want to go out for dinner or something?� Jeff inquired. �Sounds good to me,� Matt said. �I�m starving.� After dinner, they rented some movies and went home. Ryann curled up on the couch with Jeff, and Matt started the movie. He turned off the lights and sat with Lexi on the floor. About half-way through the movie Ryann and Lexi had fallen asleep. �Matt,� Jeff said. �Is Lexi sleeping?� �Yeah.� �Ryann is too, so I�m just going to go to bed.� �Alright. Just make sure that I am up before you leave in the morning, ok?� �Sure bro�see ya in the AM.� �Goodnite Jeff.� Jeff got up off the couch and picked Ryann up in his arms. He carried her into their bedroom, and laid her on the bed. He took her shorts off, and pulled the covers up over her. He then changed himself, and climbed into the bed. He pulled Ryann into his arms, and fell asleep. Matt had gotten up off the floor and was going to carry Lexi to bed, but she woke up. �Hey sleepyhead,� Matt said to her. �Are you ready for bed?� �No, I was just resting my eyes.� She looked up at the couch and noticed that Ryann and Jeff weren�t there. �Where�d they go?� She asked. �Ryann had fallen asleep, so Jeff carried her to bed, and went to bed himself.� �Ya know, it is so good to see Jeff so happy.� �I know.� Matt said. �I haven�t seen him like this in a long time.� �Ryann really loves him too. The two of them are so cute together.� �Yeah, and my dad just adores her. And you know my dad, always looking out for his boys�� �Your father only wants what�s best for you and Jeff. Any parent would.� �I know Lexi. And I am glad my dad likes Ryann, because I don�t know what Jeff would do if he didn�t.� �But he does, so we don�t have to worry about that. And we know your dad likes me too.� �And that is a very good thing.� Matt said. He leaned in and kissed Lexi. �So what are we going to do while Jeff and Ryann are gone?� Lexi asked her boyfriend. �I don�t know, we could spend a week at the beach.� �Myrtle Beach would be nice; I know how much you like it there.� �Then Myrtle Beach it is. I�ll call for a room tomorrow.� �Ok.� Lexi said. �So you want to go to bed?� �Yeah.� Matt got up, and put his hands out and helped Lexi to her feet. They went to Matt�s room, and went to sleep. |
