| Finally!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Lordy, Lordy, guess who's 140!!! At least, that's what I feel like after stripping every last bit of wood out of the hull. At this point, you're probably looking at the pic on the right and saying 'It's not all out...I still see wood grain'. Actually, that's an optical illusion (or that's what I'm calling it to get out of more work!!!). Seriously though, it's just where one of the pieces was so tightly bonded to the hull that it left an imprint of the grain in the fiberglass. There is actually no wood there. As for the difference in color...I can't help you there. That's the only piece that left such a mark. Anyway, it's all out whether you believe me or not, SO THERE!!! :-) | |||||||||||||||||||||

| In addition to the final stripping, I also got a chance to replace the wiring harness. When I originally picked up the trailer, the wiring was shorted out in several spots along the frame of the trailer. I had to cut several wires and splice a few together. This left me the ability to drive during daylight hours and make left hand turns only. It also made getting home quite interesting!!! | I also replaced the tail lights. The right tail light had some water in the bottom. I replaced both of them for my own piece of mind more than for anything else. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Cover your eyes - the transom is NAKED!!! I finally removed the last bit hanging off of the transom...the pitet for the speedometer. It needs a serious cleaning. I'm hoping to have that done for the next round of pictures. I must now apologize for anyone who searched the internet for the term 'naked' and found a site dedicated to the restoration of an old boat!!! |
Another hope for the next set of pictures...the removal of the bit of decking stuck to the walkthrough area. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| And yet another hope for the next 15 hours... removal of the transom wood that is stuck to the top half of the boat, still hanging in my second bay. I can't wait to be able to park in my own garage again!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||
