105 Hours - Fabuglas Bahama Restoration
Another 15 hours has gone by.  This time is different...it actually looks like something has changed!!!  This it the transom from the top half of the boat, minus the rotten wood. How 'bout another look at the walk through, this time cleaned of the remaining floorboard pieces.
The stern, cleaned.  All it needed was some TLC (along side of steel wool, baking soda, citrus degreaser, Simple Green, an SOS pad, a teflon pot scrubber sponge thingy, and lots of elbow grease)!!! Here is the new transom build-up.  Two layers, one 3/4" and the other 1/2" low void plywood.  There will be no space between them...I am holding them apart for the picture.
Floorboards!!!  And stringers!!!  :-)  It's actually starting to look like something!!!  YAY!!! Here is another view.  The stretchers between the stringers and temporary and are in place only to hold the stringers upright and in place.
A good view from the bow, head-on.
Another view of the stringers.  I lifted the floorboard to view the entire length.  Also, notice several of the gutters in place and the new reinforcement piece running the length of the keel.
