Konami has ranked twice in my top 5 list, and this game is definitely no slouch. Said to be the grand-daddy of videogames (next to GTA) this is kinda like the highest level of videogame potential, Metal Gear Solid.
I struck out twice in this site, my number 5 game is not an RPG again, but it still manages to make Konami proud in my opinion. This is one game that no one will ever forget. I mean, how can a game be a movie and a videogame at the same time? Give up? I'll give you a hint: you're looking at it.
The story starts off a little later after MGS' PSOne outing, and Solid Snake (the bad dude that strikes fear in the hearts of terrorists everywhere) is called back into action to stop Dead Cell, a terrorist organization, from launching their mass-produced nuclear weapon Metal Gear-RAY. As with the previous game, gunfighting is only 2nd priority. Sneaking is the thing with this game. Realism is A+ in this game, where the enemies have very realistic AI. Meaning: if you are a noisy walker they will hear you. If they see a body of a killed comrade (by you or something else..) they go into alert status. If you get sick and sneeze, they will see you (seriously). The game is so realistic, that you won't know if it's a movie or not. I mean it has more words in the dialogue than most movies have in their own! This game is recommended.
