My greatest game is rather imported, but it is undoubtedly one of THE best games ever. Hail Japan! If you wish to see a game where Voltes-V, Mazinger-Z, Daimos, Evas, Gundams and many many more are involved ina mega war of epic proportions, look no further than the Super Robot Taisen series.
Since this is a Japanese only game, not many people would buy it since they will think,"It's Japanese, we live in two different zones..." Those people actually don't know what they're missing. I mean I don't know Japanese and I still finish old SRW games. Luck? Yeah. Trial and error? Most definitely. Once you learn on how and what to do, the game isn't bad. In fact, it's so good. You can accumulate money after destroying familiar enemies from the Super and Real robot universes and you can use those to upgrade your particularly powerful robots. Also the pilots gain experience and Personal Points upon fighting, and these further develop the pilots.
This game is the final chapter of the "Alpha" series among several series in the SRW universe. Continuing on where Alpha2 ended, the gateway from the main invasion fleet's dimension has finally opened and the Lord of all Enemies is finally in the known galaxy. It's up to those who participated in the previous war to end the conflict once and for all. All robots from previous Alpha games make a comeback; Voltes-V, Mazinger-Z, Great Mazinger, Combattler-V, Getta Robo, Daimos, Evas, Jeeg, Gunbuster, Macross, Macross Plus, Macross-7, Goshogun, Gaiking, Virtual-ON, Dancouga, Gaogaigar, Ideon, Reideen, Gundam Wing, Nu Gundam, Z Gundam, ZZ Gundam, Gundam SEED and even original robots made by BANPRESTO, the maker of the game. This game is pure strategy, but offers a huge replay value in the form of branching paths, and secret party members. Overwhelming it was at the start, but it is one game that can keep me hooked for a VERY long time. I mean, ever since the 1st SRW game came here, I became hooked right on that spot. In that sense, I'm generally a fan of the entire series!
