Amidst the violence, and the excitement, I need a change in the environment once in a while. Something a little cutesy and "girly" to lighten up the mood. My number 4 pick is none other than CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura.
CLAMP is an all girl anime group responsible for kawaii (cute) works like Chobits and of course Cardcaptor Sakura and dark gritty ones like X. This represents the lighter side of things though. For now let's fluff up and be happy.
CCS is a tale of young Sakura Kinomoto who accidentally releases dangerous majo (magical) cards called the CLOW cards. Keroberos, the guardian of the cards tasked her to reclaim all of them before havoc can ensue. Thus, she is appointed the cardcaptor, the only person capable of catching the CLOW cards. That's just the start though, upon arrival to the 2nd season the fight to determine the new owner of the cards begins as Sakura's early crush, Yukito shows himself as Yue , the 2nd guardian. Sakura and Shaoran, fellow "rival" of Sakura tangle with Yue to gain ownership. After that begins the final season....Sounds kinda serious, doesn't it? Well amidst this perplexing storyline lies mucho cuteness. The character designs were made in such a way that all expessions could turn up much fluff. Also later when Shaoran gets to have a liking for Sakura, watch out for the cuteness! For those interested to watch something kinda relaxing watch it on Animax.
