Many things in DBZ captivate much viewers. The heart-stopping fight scenes, the discovery of new power and the grandness of showing of a trademark attack. This anime which was created by Akira Toriyama can be summed up in one word:hyper.
The story continues from the original Dragonball season, Goku now grown up with a son, Gohan faces a much bigger threat than before. First of the tyrannical saiyans come to Earth in search of the dragonballs to have immortality. Then later much bigger foes emerge, all more powerful than the earlier enemies. The fights can go as much to desroying mass amounts of land because of sheer power. The fighters clash like ungodly forces and cause planetwide destruction. This anime is also ripe of cliches,though. Goku dies at a total of 2 times in the series, coming back again because of the dragonballs. This anime isn't good only because it's intense, but because it teaches us a very important lesson: that good will ALWAYS triumph over evil.
