Journal

The files listed below are emails which I wrote during my time in China.  The files have been divided into the spring and fall entries as well as entries that I wrote when I returned to Yantai for a visit in January, 2002. 

The files are for the most part, just as I wrote them in an internet caf� in China.  I could not always use spell checker and so some of the files may contain spelling and grammatical errors for which I apologize.

The entries from the first semester were the last to be posted on this site.  When I started writing these emails to my family and friends, I would often just write without employing much discretion in my choice of words.  Therefore, the entries from the first semester can be pretty raw to the point where I am embarrassed about some of what I wrote.  I was experiencing all sorts of new things and I was not shy about telling my readers exactly how I was feeling.  If you were to read but one of the journal entries, read "The Last Email."
