This guy is guaranteed to make everyone shake their bootie!
Got this covered and we think we made a fine choice.
A well kept secret of course! I will tell you this is the dress  I have dreamed of since I was a little girl.
We have decided not
to give out the location until after the wedding..
Time and other important information will be
added later.
We want tp keep this location a secret for now.  It will be well worth the wait. Later we will add a bit of information.

I considered changing the Wedding Countdown Clock to the
"When Am I Getting The Ring Clock"

THE WAIT WAS WELL WORTH IT !!

We picked up my engagement ring the beginning of March. The great thing about the ring is that Jeff and I picked out the exact same one.  Jeff had went to a jeweler and ordered a diamond.  Several days later he went back to look over the diamond and make sure it was "just" perfect.  As it turned out, it was!  On that visit, the jeweler had given him 4 books to find just the right setting.
Jeff then realized that making our honeymoon a surprise is great,  but picking out something that I will wear forever is different.  He wanted to make sure that I would love the ring.  The following saturday he escorted me to the jewelers. Jeff explained that I didn't have to keep the diamond he had already choosen and I could pick any one I wanted.  Of course,  I loved the diamond he had already picked and yes it was amazingly gorgeous.  Just the sentiment of "his choice"  it made it all the more special knowing that he had chosen it just for me.
It was now time to pick the settting....a little nervous, my heart skipped a beat I made my choice. Jeff told me that my choice was also one of his favorites.
It seemed as if we were reading each others minds.

Another thoughtful surprise !
The most thoughtful and loving  person I know, is Jeff.  Happy to say that I have lost some weight.  So much that I couldn't wear my....uuummm let's call it pre-engagment diamond ring that Jeff had given me years ago on Christmas. Without me knowing,  Jeff had taken my "pre" ring into the jewelers at the same time he ordered my "real"  diamond.  He knew how special the "pre" ring was to me and had the diamond put in a pendant so I can still wear it.  And how ironic it will be forever close to my heart.

We are having a lot of fun planning the wedding, even though it takes more time that we thought it would.

We thought it would be nice to share most of the information on vendors that will help to make our dream wedding a reality.  We can only hope that everything works out as we have planned.  We have reconsidered and decided to wait until after the wedding to include the names of the wedding professionals we have choosen.

There are some details we plan to keep to ourselves, just to heighten the surprise of our wedding and reception

We can only say the wait is well worth it and we can not wait to share our day with you, our guests
.
We are going to be movie stars, we got this covered too!

I think we might have a house!! Jim, Jeff's brother knows someone selling their house and we think it might be the one.  I know what everyone is thinking, as boring as Jeff, the house will look very plain. I can only imagine what our house will look like.

Jeff is still holding out on the details and location of the honeymoon. It is his surprise to me.

Jeff is doing a great job losing weight.  He has lost over 60 pounds since July.  I need everyones prayers for willpower to help me!!

070901 Trista's thoughts:

Well it was just 2 years ago on the 4th that Jeff popped the question, and time is now flying!

It seems there is always something new coming up.  Things we still have to do, things we didn't think of.  We are still loving every minute of the planning stages. We can hardly wait to see our accomplishments with flair.  We really have done it our way.  We want it to reflect us.....all we can say is unique and memorable.  We did work tradition into the plans, but we also worked to make it reflect our personalities and we can't wait.

I had my first bridal shower several weeks ago.  It was hosted by two of my co-workers, Cheri and Abby.  The two of them have been remarkable through the planning process.  They have made sure I am having fun every step of the way. They  assisted me with the choice of my dream gown and the bridesmaids dresses. I am lucky to have them by my side, always willing to lend an ear or offer advise that only females can do.
The Bridal Shower was great. They had everything decorated beautifully and really put some thought into the planning and games.  I must confess, I was a nervous wreck.  The morning of the shower I was sick, mostly because of nerves.  You see, I am a very shy person and try not to call attention to myself.  I cried alot during the shower. I am positive it was tears of joy and appreciation.  I was surprised and a little shocked at how comfortable I became at being the center of attention in no time. (Jeff better watch out)  Everyone made me feel very comfortable and loved, leaving me with a wonderful feeling inside.

Well the invitations have all been sent.  I am having mixed feeling.  I am glad to have them done, which means the wedding is soon.  But it also means one more thing  done, one more thing we don't have to work on anymore and that bothers me. I have truly enjoyed working on the wedding.  We are always working on the something or another for the wedding.  Actually it has consumed our lives for the last year or so.  It makes me a little sad to know that the process is almost over and it has been such a part of our lives for so long.......WHAT WILL WE DO NOW?   I know Jeff was excited to have all the invitations done, since he did all of the caligraphy.  A slow process, but so worth it.  Speaking of Jeff, he has been truly  amazing through all of this.  I really do not know how one person could ever do it alone.  Jeff has not only helped with the little decisions we have had to make but has been a vital part of the planning and preparations.

He has been the perfect "Husband" and since I can't give away too many details right now,  I will say he has made all of the centerpieces for all of the tables.  On the 25th you will see just how amazing he has been.  Each and every day I am more and more amazed and proud of him.  I can't wait to introduce him as my HUSBAND.  I am sure I will giggle the first few times I say husband, but I am sure it will become really comfortable in no time.

For most of you,  Jeff may seem very shy.  But for those of you that really know him, you will agree  he is very outgoing, has a wonderful personality with a great sence of humor with a creative flair. Did I mention a perfectionist.   There is nothing Jeff can not accomplish.  He is just incredible and you will never find a better guy anywhere in the world.
Now you know why I love him.
Jeff's poor parents probably can't wait for this wedding to be over.  It seems like their whole upstairs has turned into Bridal Central.  We have almost everything we need for the wedding and reception stored at their house and everything is starting to pile up.

We are still "house hunting" and it seems we may never find one that will suit our needs.  Either they are too expensive or in need of alot of work.  We really would like to find one that is in need of a little work.  That way we can make it "ours" on a budget.  We have been playing the lottery and have a dream house in mind, but until then we are looking forward to a modest size home that can reflect our personality.  You know one that can be updated by a "weekend warrior" that can purchase his supplies at Home Depot.  Home Depot has become our favorite store lately.  I think Jeff considers it a "date" when he takes me there, which is fine with me.  We stroll down each aisle and dream.  We were disheartened to find out Home Depot did not offer a wedding registry.  I assume to simplify a registry, they only offer gift cards.  We did register at our second choice Target, and our third choice Elder Beerman.  I did a little researched  and found that Home Depot and Target Club Wedd offers a online service.
Target  allows a guest to look at the complete registry   Elder Beerman does not offer on line service but can be contacted via phone.  We will be adding links to everything that has on-line access along with lodging information.

Jeff and I would like to Thank everyone that has offered a helping hand to make our wedding go off without a hitch. I just hope everyone wasn't just being nice because we will probably be taking  everyone up on your offer !

Until my next entry.....
Have a Wonderful Day.
