GREAT COMMUNICATION LEADS TO A PROPSAL WITH FIREWORKS! |

Jeff actually proposed out of the blue on the Fourth of July 1999. Relaxing with friends and family around the pool at Jeff's house. The guys were discussing their summer vacation at the lake. Jeff and I had pretty much assumed our next summer vacation would be another trip to Disney. I told Jeff in a joking voice, that instead of saving for a Disney trip, maybe we could consider a trip to the lake. At this point it was just Jeff and I and his reply was " the next time we go to Disney I want it to be on our honeymoon!" laughing he then made the comment "who said that we are ever going to get married?" I laughed too and replied "I know we will!"
At that point Jeff got very serious and said "I know we will too. Will you marry me?" I asked him not to joke about something that serious. He said he wasn't joking and that he wanted to marry me. I was so excited that I started crying and of course I said Yes !!
He ask that I not tell anyone until we set a date. So after a long wait of about a year, we finally set the date and the rest in the works. |

Trista added, The honeymoon is a surprise to me as to where we are going, so this might just be true. Only time will tell...since Jeff won't ! |
