A rigorous(?) mathematical proof why academics will never make as much money as business executives:
postulate 1: Knowledge is power.
postulate 2: Time is money.
Since in physics Power = Work/Time, and in conventional wisdom Knowledge = Power and Time = Money, therefore,
Knowledge = Work/Money.
Solving for Money, Money = Work/Knowledge.
Thus, in the limit where knowledge ---> 0, money ---> infinity regardless of work done.
Conclusion: The less you know, the more you make.
