Here are selected pix from the days when TC and I both owned 1973 2600 4-Speed Capris.
I bought my first one in 1980, when TC was still racing his sister's old '70 Pinto 2000 Hatchback.
Soon after that car met an unfortunate fate upside-down at 55++mph, he bought his Silver Capri.
Around 1989 or so, he bought an awesome '82 Alfa GTV6 and I bought a '74 Alfa GTV2000.

TC and I started autocrossing around 1981 with MSE in Lancaster at Antelope Valley College once per month while I was at UCLA. We did it together for a few years and TC moved on to racing his Capri 2600, his Alfa GTV6, his Mazda MX-6, his BMW 325i and countless poor, undeserving rental cars over the years
with AROSC, the Alfa Romeo Club of Southern California.
I even took my 1974 GTV 2000 to Riverside Raceway with AROSC and TC around 1989
before the bulldozers turned the track to Condos
On this particular weekend, we talked my dad into taking the family's 1975 MBZ 280 Automatic out for a spin on stock rims and tires, minus hupcaps. It was real fun, until a pressure valve gave way and tranny fluid got sucked into the intake manifold for a white-smoke parade!!!
Also in attendance were TC's sister, LC in her 1979/80 Toyota Celica Supra and various and sundry members of the MSE clan.
