-3/25: Rebuilt Carburetor.
APRIL
-4/4 Driverside rear leaf spring completlly severs while offroading.
-4/7 Replacement leaf spring from AOAR purchased.
-4/11 leaf spring replaced
-snapped widshield hinges trying to lay widshield down to get at dash wiring
-3 weeks later, new hinges put on, after totally redoing widshield frame: complete grind-down and bondo-ing and repainting of all metal on windshield frame.
MAY
-5/9 replaced fuel filter
-5/29 replaced drviers side headlight
-painted outside rim of front rims black, for rust resistence test
JUNE
-Bestop 2 piece soft doors purchased
-6/13: doors installed.
-6/13: Bestop bikini top received, along with new hood hooks, and side view mirror arm.
-Dome light installed on roll bar
-I design and sketch out push bar, Kerry Belcher of Belcher Steel manufactures, 1/4? steel plating, and 1/4? thich 2 1/2? dia steel piping.
-failed inspection: e-brake, tie rod ends, ball joints. Centerlink, and tie rods
-new steering box, purchased from installd same time
JULY
-Passengerside rear leafspring replaced to even out unlevelness from 2 diff sets of springs. Thanks to Jamison and his dad for use of their tools and bodies.
-Alpine stereo stolen, price chopper parking lot, on lunch break
-later that same day accident: 1993 Ford Taurus on Pleasant street, totalled Taurus, bent centerlink on Jeep- $35 to fix
-3rd stereo, Pioneer installed.
AUGUST
SEPTEMBER
-9/13: confederate flag plate stolen at locobazooka
OCTOBER
-(early) transfer case to front driveshaft u-joint fails while off roading in prison camps.
-Put hardtop back on. Snapped steel lift-gate off in process. Replaced w/ fiberglass.
NOVEMBER
-11/6 headers crack
-headers removed and stock ?83 exhaust manifold installed. Lots of fabrication req?d to mate the ?78 intake.
-2 weeks later, gasket blows
DECEMBER
-front driveshaft situation fixed. 3 days later, seasons first snowfall.
-gasket changed
-gasket blows 2 weeks later
1999
JANUARY
-power steering box becomes really loose, tightened all bolts appropriately. One bolt stripped, replaced w/ through- bolt of lesser diameter and nut.
FEBRUARY
MARCH
-3/5 radiator blows in 5 o?clock traffic on rt.9 in Brookline on way home for spring break. Removed while waiting for ride. Brought to Morris Radiator Saturday 3/6 for ?good enough to get it home? repair. Sunday 3/7 put radiator back in jeep to drive it home. Removed that same day and brought to morris radiator once again for rebuilding of radiator. Installed mon 3/8.
-3/14 headers reinstalled. They were welded by Mike Laramee of Polar Refrigeration.
-Dual Exhaust thought up and sketched in class.
-Assembled the exhaust system.
