Evolution

* * 1/2 Evolution stars David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Julianne Moore, and Seann William Scott. Directed by Ivan Reitman.

If you love David Duchovny so much that you have to see everything he's ever been in, if you like watching pretty girls trip and fall because of clumsiness, if you like cheesy science-fiction comedies, then I recommend Evolution.

If you cannot stand watching science-fiction become butchered, if you hate obvious endings, and big dinosaur-looking computer-generated creatures scare you, skip this one.

Basically, Evolution is not that horrible of a movie. It is entertaining, and it is funny. The science didn't make a whole lot of sense, but that's why they call it science-fiction, apparently. The part I didn't like, was the dandruff shampoo solution. I won't explain further, I don't want to give away the ending!

If you are a diehard science-fiction fan and feel that science-fiction should challenge you a little bit, yeah, definitely go see something else. Unless you watch it expecting to see a comedy, and set your expectations a little bit low. That way, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Another reason I didn't give this movie shiningly brilliantly reviews was that I was tired of the predictable stuff that all movies have. Then again, predictable endings are way better than the ending of Planet of the Apes .
