This checklist was designed for a person having to cope with an emergency in an urban area where the person will be able to leave the area affected. My other checklist (Emergency Disaster Check List) was designed for longer term quaters in an affected area.
It is better to have more supplies
than needed and this checklist provides a baseline for that. Note that special supplies may be needed for infants (diapers, formula) and the elderly (medicine). The only limitation to keep in mind when gathering your supplies is weight. Ultimately YOU will have to carry these items day in and day out during your commute.

| Personal Protection [OPTIONAL] |
During emergency events the best and worst of mankind can be found. Ideally you may find yourself with a group of people that are willing to help anyone but at the same time you must be prepared to face the fact that you may also encounter the brutal barbaic animalist nature of mankind as well. How will you protect yourself and those you love? Firearms are a personal decision that everyone must make for themseleves.
