Management Sciences for Health, Boston, MA. April 1991- December 1992. Developed management training curriculum, trained senior managers from Afghanistan Area Health Committees and Ministry of Public Health on management skills and knowledge relevant to reconstruction of the rural health delivery system in Afghanistan. Trained 15 Master Management Trainers from training centers in Afghanistan and supported their work with curriculum development and inservice training.
Department of Health, Socialist Republic of Burma, and World Health Organization. December 1987 - February 1988. Conducted a management training needs assessment, developed learning material specific to Burma and the management needs of Township Medical Officers and Health Assistants. Conducted two workshops with emphasis on identifying community health needs, setting objectives, problem solving, supervision, scheduling health activities, and micro planning. Ministry of Health, Government of Egypt, and Ronco Consulting Corporation, Durham, NC April - August 1987. Developed learning material for management training for the USAID Family Planning Systems Development Project. Trained trainers to conduct management workshops. Assisted trainers during workshops. Developed training evaluation instrument and conducted post training evaluation.
Universal immunization program, Ministry of Health, Government of India and UNICEF, New Delhi, India. February - August 1986. Analyzed the Governments vaccine distribution system from point of manufacture or import to point of use at primary health centers. USAID, Islamabad, Pakistan. October 1982 - February 1986. Team Leader and Health Management Advisor: Primary Health Care Project, Provided technical assistance in project management, developed and implemented improvements in management systems and conducted management training for health officials.
UNICEF, Islamabad, Pakistan June - September 1982. Developed a proposal to establish a management cell in the Directorate of Health, Northwest Frontier Province, and evaluated the planning, organization and management of the 1982-84 Pakistan Accelerated Health Program (AHP).
University of Hawaii, MEDEX, Honolulu, HI. March-May 1981. Developed management systems modules for training health workers in developing countries. Modules developed for: drug supply system, general supply system, health information system, transportation and communications.
