Prologue
The following message is written by an author who asks to remain anonymous so as not to distract from the idea in this message. This is not a chain letter. This message was written with the simple intent to help those who are lost, those who feel alone in this world, and those who tire of unnecessary hurt in the world. Remember, you are not ever alone. There are people on this Earth that strive to help people. These people are what this author refers to as �Angels on Earth.� These angels are all around you, all you have to do is open your eyes and let them be there for you. Hopefully this message will help you to do that.Introduction
Quoting a line from the movie, �Message in a Bottle,� based on the book by Nicholas Sparks simply because it best sums up what I�m about to write:
�This message is a hope and a prayer.�
Recently I have had an epiphany of sorts that has inspired what I�m about to write. This epiphany was brought on by the loss of a friend. I did not lose this friend to death. I lost this person in one of the worst possible ways imaginable. I lost this friend due to the fact that he possessed a closed heart. This friend was one of two friends that I have lost in my entire life. Both of these friends I lost because these two friends hurt me repeatedly emotionally due to their possessing closed hearts. These two friends I shall only refer to by their first names, Amy and John. All I ask of you is that if you ever cared for me at all, that you will read all of this, really take it in, and come back to me so that we can apologize to one another for any hurts that have occurred between us and allow ourselves the opportunity to enrich one another�s lives and to love unconditionally. To quote the movie, Sweet November: �You live in a box. I can lift the lid and let some light in.� It�s your choice how you live, and how you are remembered. You are hurting yourselves the most. You gave me lemons, I�m making lemonade. I CHOOSE to take the negative, and find the positive. There is enough negative energy in the world, I will do my very best to negate such negative energy with the help of all of those who agree with me, and live their lives with an open heart.
Even though the two of you are lost to me, I shall always be there for you and I shall always love you unconditionally. As I say to all of my friends, �Take care of you for me.�
I offer this personal aspect of my life because I want to illustrate what I feel is a detriment to all worldwide. Closed hearts cause selfishness, cynicism, self-centeredness, and the means to not only hurt others, but also hurt those who possess a closed heart.
The world offers so many special gifts, yet most of us choose not to see them by living with closed hearts. Life is short, and time and energy is wasted when people go through life never learning to love with an open heart. It is only when a person has an open heart that the possibility of changing one�s life for the better occurs.
I predict that most likely there will be three different types of reactions to my philosophy:
There will be those who choose to make fun of my philosophy and think I�m �mad/crazy.� I say to those people, �I rather be mad/crazy and do what I can to bring good in the world, then to live my life in a box like you do.�
There will be those who attempt to understand my philosophy and to those people I say, �Thank you for being open to the possibility of making a change for the better not only for yourselves, but for all of those around you.
There will be those who embrace my philosophy and to those people I say, �Join me in changing the world for the better one person at a time. My philosophy will only be an idea unless it inspires people to act and to leave a legacy not only for themselves, but for our children and future generations. I need your help to leave that legacy.� Thank you kindly.
My inspiration: My family and friends. My friends are my extended family and my family are also my friends. A million other influences in my life big and small have also contributed to this inspiration. Thank you God for all of your gifts. I promise you and all those in the world to do my very best to help open hearts that are closed and to bring sunshine and light to those who have closed hearts, and live in a box. I strive to live by my word. I am certainly no saint, but I will always try to be the best person that I can be.
