Note :
In the 1900 Federal Census, Frederick Francis FRANKLIN was listed as arriving in the US by 1849, entering by way of New Orleans, later went to Cincinnati ( this is where he married Adelia ) . Both his parents born in England . He could read and write . Occupation listed as farmer . He was a naturalized citizen . Adelia was listed as born in New Jersey , her father and mother was born in Virginia . Frederick and Adelia are buried in Hopewell Cemetery in Holton, Ripley Co, Indiana .
note :
Tina Reese had the following note on her info about Frederick Francis FRANKLIN . " Frederick Francis FRANKLIN gave up an title in England to come to America and start an new life " . The story I have heard from other sources is that he did not believe in the class system of England which was his reason for coming to America . Also he was an actor in Shakespeare's plays and was an sailor before leaving England . from other researchers, and sources , in England, his father was listed as an shoemaker and Frederick was as an boilermaker on his Marriage Certificate .� This makes you wonder if Frederick had stretched the truth a bit . How could he have possibly known that 170 years later that we would check up on him ?
