Mystery House was released back in 1980 by Roberta Williams and Ken Williams as their first game. The idea for Mystery House came around, when Roberta discovered a game on their computer, Colossal Cave. It was a basic text adventure game, with no graphics, no sound, nothing but text. This gave Roberta an idea, she thought she could make a computer game with a great story line, AND, of course, graphics. She talked to her husband and he agreed to program it for her. The game shipped May 5, 1980 and was a big success, starting Roberta Williams on one of the most important careers in the gaming industry.
The plot of Mystery House is simple, you find an old abandoned Victorian House and go inside. You wander around for a while when you find the first body, trying to escape, you discover that you and everyone else, are locked inside with a murderer, intent on killing everyone.
