Jamie with this seasons football awards
Jamies 2000 trophies which we are looking after.  Left "Coaches player of the year 1999-2000" Right "Team award Waterhall Stars"
So far this year Jamie seems to be doing very well at school and especially in mathmatics, a few weeks ago he had a supply teacher for one day who started to teach them fractions but missed out a "bit in the middle".  When their own teacher returned they were asked to do some fractions but every one said they did not understand them, everyone except Jamie. His teacher thinking he was being clever gave him the chalk and told him to do it on the board, much to her surprise he had understood it even without the bit in the middle.
His football is going well as well both for the school and Waterhall Stars and winning the coaches player of the year award  was the high spot.
February 2001. Jamie is still progressing very well at school. He has just taken his mock "SATS" and  seems to have done quite well especially in maths, which was of course expected as he is already 2 years above everyone else. We hope he can do as well in the real thing. Football is still going strong and he and his friend Jo spend a lot of time together. We now do not see him as often and I asked for a photo the other day as I had forgotten what he looked like.!!

Jamie and the winning team 2000
August 2001
Update 7th October 2001
Jamie is still progressing well, he got good results in his "sats" and next Summer will join Daniel at Senior school. He is still football crazy and would like to be a professional player. He plays for the school and for a Saturday team. No longer called WaterHall stars as they have broken away from the school. He is very good and I feel should be encouraged as long as he carries on doing so well in his school work. He is still the one who gives us a cuddle and kiss goodbye, a very affectionate child. Like Jack he is at "that awkward age"
