| Lantern Parade 2009 |
| I was more than happy, I was ecstatic to know that I will be watching the lantern parade with my two best friends, Miriam and Sophia. I spent the whole day with Sophia and I let her drag me along to her different endeavors for the day which,I must say, tired the hell out of my feet. But it was nothing. At least I got to spend some time with that extremely busy person. |

| And so we waited for our other best friend who still had a Christmas Party to attend. She was finally available and then our trio was completed!

We also saw our other friends there. Shai, our other block mate was there and so was EJ, our former block mate.
Ej shifted to BAA when we were in second year. He's one heck of a talented guy. Besides, his brains, he also has talent in dancing and singing. He was actually a part of the parade as a member of Kontra Gapi. Oh and he's a part of UP Dancesport Society, too! |
|
| We also got to see our college's entry for the lantern parade. It shouted Mass Comm alright.

There were a lot of people, also a lot of delegates from the different UP units. They all had their own lanterns to show off and all of them screamed creativity.
But the event's highlight, of course, was the College of Fine Arts. Everyone present awaited the entries of the FA students. And we were not at all disappointed. |
 |
| The CFA had a carnival theme for this year's Lantern Parade. A lot of their students were in costumes of all sorts. Vibrant colors and interesting characters were all over the place. To see more photos click here. |

| My best friends and I surely enjoyed the Lantern Parade although it got us slumped on the sidewalk after some extreme standing and walking. Nevertheless, the experience was irreplaceable.Feeling the school spirit and seeing creativity flow all over the place sent chills to my spine, not the goosebumps kind, but the good kind of chill, one that inspires and erases all the hassles of the day that has been. |
