FOR THE BIRDS!!!
These are just a few of the birdhouses that my mom and I have painted. Mine is on the left.
It showcases the Triple Crown series of races, as well as Secretariat. I painted it in 1998, the 25th anniversary
of Secretariat's Triple Crown.
The house on the right is a tribute to the Memphis Zoo. It's Mom's. She used about 100 pictures of animals for it!
The old zoo (ca. 1920's) is featured on the back, and the new zoo is on the front.
Both of these birdhouses are works of art and have won BEST OF SHOW at the Mid-South Fair!
The animals on this side of the roof are:
Zebra
Giraffe
Tiger
Meerkat
Komodo Dragon
Rhesus Monkey
and plus a hippo on the side!
