1928
Masquarading
under the pretenses of a baseball owner, the Dark Prince scored his
first success on the baseball diamond with a victory over the pious
Cuyahoga Falls Collusion in the Division Series and then completed
his conquest of all that was holy be finishing off the reigning world
champion Red Sox in the World Series. The victory caused nationwide
unrest including the Thousand Nun March on Washington in protest of
the victory. Suffice to say, Satan refuses to relinquish the EBL trophy,
and according to speculation, has hidden it somewhere in the depths
of hell.
1929
The Evil Empire
triumphs yet again. The EBL has felt a great disturbance in the force,
as if thousands of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly
silenced. And indeed, something terrible has happened. The Dodgers'
failure to dethrone the dark prince Evil G results in another year
of darkness. In fact, some Brooklyn tabloids claim that Washington
has forgotten where they hid the EBL trophy and couldn't surrender
it even if they'd lost. No doubt somewhere among the fire, brimstone
and soulless hordes of tortured sinners, and in a location Evil G
would always remember. Isn't that always the case?
