Hi and welcome to JDMSite! This is a website made by kids and for kids with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (aka JDMS.) At JDMSIte we know how hard it could be to cope with an autoimmune disorder. From personal experience, we've also learned the best thing to help it can sometimes just be a postive mental attitude. That is what JDMSite is all about. We try to give support in a positive manner.
JDMSite is aimed mostly at children but teens are welcome too. There is a teen message board section as well as other things that teens may care for rather than kids( buddy icons, website decorations etc.)
This website offers several ways of communication such as message boards, email groups etc. These are monitored carefully and closely so kids can stay safe as they chat. Parents or another trusted adult of a child on the message board is allowed to monitor as their children chat but are asked to try to refrain from chatting. Please remember that JDMSite is for the kids and we plan to keep it that way.
