God's Will
What is God's will for my life?
Have you ever asked yourself or Him that question??
More importantly, is that the right question to be asking??
I don't think it is!
Now, before your feathers get too ruffled,
let me tell you what I believe to be the right question.
What is God's will?
This takes the focus off one's own life,
and puts it back on God!
Then we, knowing God's will,
can adjust our life to doing His will.
Not convinced? Let's look at what Jesus did,
in order that he might be doing the will of his Father.
John 5: 17, 19-20
17"My Father is always at
his work to this very day,
and I too, am working."
19"I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
20"For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these."
Once I know God's will, then I can adjust my life to Him.
In other words,
Watch to see where God is working and join Him!
In so doing, you WILL be in the Father's will!

John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him,
he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
You will have times when you want to respond based on your own experiences or your own wisdom. This will lead to trouble! Go to the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth and give you understanding of the truth as it is revealed in God's Word. Don't base your decisions on one verse of scripture. Look to see how God worked in similar situations throughout Scripture. With this foundation, you can depend on Him to work similarly through you.
The God revealed in scripture DOES NOT CHANGE!
May God Bless and keep you as you go about doing His will,
by submitting your will and doing His.
