Well as you can tell, this is my all time favorite series. When I saw the first episode, I was hooked. I have a lot in common with Shinji. There are things that can unexpectedly become ugly. And I guess that's how life is. The first half is pretty cool. The second half kept you on the edge of your seat. I'm still trying to recover from the second half. But the project was rushed so it didn't end right. The last two episodes was about Shinji drifting in his mind. Fans demanded to know what happened. And out of retaliation they made the movies. The movies were very extreme of what I heard; and if I watch them I'm affraid, to really be grossed out. The characters were like family to me. Hopefully more will be done with the series instead of just ageing some where. The movies are supposed to be released First Quarter of 2002 by Manga. |

Name: Shinji Ikari

Shinji arrives in the first episode. He's excited that his father; of who he hasn't seen in three years, wants to see him. He's first greeted by Misato during the third angel's attack. When he finds out that his father only wants him to pilot a never been tested robot, he just wants to leave. But then there is no one else to pilot it. The only other pilot is a girl who is severely hospitalized. And then the third angel attacks headquarters.....
He has a lot of growing up to do. And for Shinji it's hard because how his life was. He's used to having nobody around. But then Misato takes him in, who's also his boss. But their relationship works, because of the need for each other. Misato has a lot in common with Shinji.
He suffers, and shines from time to time. And you really feel for him. You just want to be there and tell him that it's okay. But being the Third Child has it's responsibilities. Wait until he finds out the secrets of his purpose. |

Rei can't remember much, or really doesn't understand herself. She understands things more than most people, though. She keeps to herself and really in herself. She's very emotionless. Shinji's father, Gendo is close to her. She really admires him. And like Shinji she tries her best to make him proud.
She pilots Unit 00, the prototype. And this one is troublesome. Not like Shinj's awesome Unit 01. It rejected her in the first activation. The original armor was a orange color. In a fight with the fifth angel, (Rei's first fight) she had to guard him as he did a counter shot. As she guarded him, the beam destroyed half her armor. Her new improved Eva came along in the middle of the series in which all three fought together. A beautiful sight to see. She was very brave and courageous and knew her purpose. |

She grew up with Misato in Germany at the Second Branch of Nerv. (Nerv is the Company that produces the Evangelions.) She's the one with the mouth. She is always trying to show off and out do the others. She wants to run the show. She's very jealous of Shinji because at one time his sync ratio had risen above hers. While Shinji was defeating angels by himself, Asuka was having trouble with her inner feelings. She feels betrayed by her mother who had fallen into a deep depression after a Eva incident. In which her peformance drops.
She arrives on a Supercarrier hosted by the combined UN Pacific fleet, along with her is her Unit 02. Asuka and Shinji pilot Unit 02 off the Supercarrier when the sixth angel attacks. Asuka's first battle. They do a terrific job being that it wasn't designed to be used in water. Over half of the UN fleet was destroyed. Kaji rejoins Nerv with Asuka in Japan. Asuka always had a crush on Kaji. But Kaji always loved Misato who dated him seriously back when they were in college. Another let down. |

This is Misato Katsuagi. She's Captain and later Major of the Nerv army. She's Shinji and Asuka's guardian, and best friends with Ritsuko. As a teenager she was with her father in the expedition in Antartica right before Second Impact. Her father rushes her off in an escape capsule as the incident happens, (has the scar to prove it). Later in college she starts speaking again and befriends Ritsuko and Kaji. Her friends also had ties with the future organization of Nerv. Later she starts work at the Second Branch in Germany and befriends Asuka. When Nerv formed in Japan, she was selected as Captain. Has a very kind heart and a party animal side. She can be immature in serious times to only lighten up things. But in actuallity, she's a very serious woman. Only had one serious relationship, and it was with Kaji, a man of mystery. |

This is Dr. Ritsuko Akagi. She's the lead scientist for Nerv. She did various tasks such as the links for the Magi, the Test Dummy Plug system, the Human Enhancment Project, and a bunch of other things. Her mother, Naoko Akagi worked/created the Magi Computer System. She would work alone at all hours of the night. She met Misato and Kaji in college. She became almost an understudy for her mother. She became the lead scientist after the accident to her mother, and right when the new Nerv Headquarters was finished. Has a lot of secrets and knows more than she lets on. She's very close to Gendo Ikari who both have a major stake in this project. She works day and night also, just like her mother. Maybe history will repeat itself for fools that try..... |
