NICK SMITH (UK)
my Jaydee, the Supernatural Series one, serial00002.
I am very lucky to be the keeper of this bass, originally bought and owned by Level 42's Mark King! This bass is historically very important as its use by Mark as his main axe from '84 till '87 spawned a huge demand for the Supernatural basses, especially the "Mark King" model. It was auctioned off for charity in '88 and raised 5000 pounds! Later, it  was up for sale in an Essex store for 6000 pounds and I was able to buy it on the 4th September '99.
What can I say? A major dream came true!!

GARY DENYER (USA)
I started playing bass when I was 16 (1984). Been a L42 fan since '82, but was playing guitar/keyboards until then. Went thru several basses until I had enough money for John to build me my dream! I now have a JD SNC MKSeries1 (91688) and even though I've only had the JD since '99, I'll never need to buy another bass to get the sound I want! Long may John Diggins produce the instrument that is  coveted by so many worldwide! Thank you, John!

RALPH VAN DER HEIJDEN (NL)
Creating music depends on having the right tools to be able to do so. The Jaydee meets every demand. Besides that, it's a helluva looker!
My search for the bass that suited me most ended with my MK serial06757 and although my girlfriend at first thought I'd lost my mind on spending money on yet another bass, after getting rid of the others she had to admit this one is special...right she is!
My utmost respect to the builder of these fine basses!

PJ DINIZ FROM JOTAQUEST (BRA)
I was 15 when I saw a guy playing a fire groove with a killer bass for the first time, the guy was Mark King, the bass was a Jaydee. I didn't understand how a bass could sound that way. I wanted it! But I couldn't buy it. The only thing I had to do was practice with my old Gianine bass. Many years later I got the groove, got the bass, but I still did not meet the builder, Mr.Diggins!

MIKE 'DUNEYTUNES" JAMES (UK)
My Jaydee MK Series II, serial 04374,was made for me in '84. Iadmired Mark King' playing, but the tone of the Jaydee appealed to me as being unique and completely different to say the then more popular Fender/Musicman basses-responsive for percussive slap but 'honky' (as I think Mark has described it) enough for burbling fingered basslines. And the neck-through body design it looks so neat from the back!

MORGAN ROUSSEL (F)
Mark King wrote to me: "The Starchild bass was made for me around '81. I used the bass a lot for live shows for the next two or three years. The Starchild has always been one of my favourites, so I'm very happy it's gone to a good home. The reason I let it go was because I had built up such a huge collection , and when I came to move house there was no way I could possibly store all the equipment. The collection has started to grow again, so next time I've decided to sell my children and dogs instead!!!"     (this text was edited)
