April 2000. A small but enthusiastic group of 9 people known as "Scarfies KMD" (Kiss My Disc) aka Scarfies, headed up from Dunedin to the nation's capital Wellington for the most non serious sports tournment of all time.
We played well and lost all 6 games but given that our rest game was the first game of the day and that was followed by 6 1 hour 20 minute games in a row-- we have an excuse of sorts. The speight's that we drunk suring game 5 and 6 didn't really help us as a team, but ohh did it go down well. |
