| Who you are in Christ does not depend on any circumstances here on earth! You're a child of God, and that's exactly how you should walk, even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." -Psalm 23:4 Do not be changed by the circumstances of this world. The affairs of this world pale in comparison to the riches you have in Christ, and should therefore have no effect in your life. This is so hard sometimes, which I guess is one thing that makes you human. You frequently lose perspective of what's really important in your quest for perishable things here on earth. Remember that no matter what the circumstances are, I'M ME!!! Do not be changed by them. Never forget who you are in Christ! Lay claim to His tremendous promises of comfort. "...the Father of all compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles..." -2 Corinthians 1:3b,4a "...your rod and your staff, they comfort me." -Psalm 23:4b Claim these things in prayer; He wrote them down for you! He loves to hear you pray Scripture back to Him! "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." -Philippians 4:6 He wants you to come to Him with all your requests! "Be still and know that I am God." -Psalm 46:10 This calm can be found only in Him; seek Him. |
