I have been training in the martial arts for over thirty years now. The styles that I have taken include Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, Hopkido, Jujitsu and Escrima. I have found a permanent home in the eclectic style Wun Hop Kuen Do, part of the Kajukenbo system. I began my training in Wun Hop Kuen Do under Sifu Al Dacascos in Portland, OR in 1982 and in Oakland, CA under Sifu Bill Owens in 1992, so I have been training in Wun Hop Kuen Do for more than twenty years. I also want to give recognition to the other two instructors in Wun Hop Kuen Do that have greatly influenced my training; Sifu Earl White and Sifu Doug Jones. I began teaching a small class oriented mostly to street defense in California in 1996.
I am currently teaching Wun Hop Kuen Do classes near Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas (TX). If you are interested in learning Wun Hop Kuen Do you can email me.
