FRANCES born 1802 in NC, daughter of Joseph Barrow, married in Telfair Co., Ga to Samuel T Garrett (1786-1858) Frances was a sister to Polly, the wife of John Gaskins. Frances' father later moved to Thomas Co., GA. Frances & Samuel's 10 known children were: Joseph, b 1825, m Jincy Wooten, dau of Bryant; Sarah, b 1827, m William Asbell on 4 April 1847; Sophia, b 1831, m G W Stephens; Drew, b 1832, m Mariah Roberts; William b 1833, m Rebecca Fulford; Benjamin, b 1835 m (unknown); America Ann b 1840 m W B Faulkner, Rebecca, b 1842, m William Fulford; Fannie, b 1843, m 1-Warren Fulford, 2-John A. Sutton; Nancy b 1844, m John Sapp. After living many years in Telfair co., GA, Mr. & Mrs. Garrett with most of the children named abouve, moved to Berrien co., Ga, soon after its creation in 1856. Mr. Garrett bought a farm near the Alapaha River in east Berrien, in the riverside Church Community and died at the age of about 70 years.
