[updates and Jonathan Davis news]

[ Jonathan Davis comments on St Anger ]

Kerrang! Magazine has published a report where Jonathan expressed his dislike over the new Metallica record. Jonathan expressed disappointment at the whole album, but most of all, he said that Lars Ulrich's snare drum was the most irritating thing he had ever heard. He then said that he wasnt just trying to get at Metallica, but he really hated the new album.
Too fucking right, Jonathan.

[ Jonathan's Artwork revealed! ]

you can see a drawing Jonathan did while talking on the Radio 1 Rock show.

[ Korn tour shake up ]

Korn's North American tour is rumored to be starting on the West Coast in November, but confirmed dates have not been announced yet. Although a tentative list was posted on the Internet Monday (October 13), a representative for the band's management says those dates are, in fact, inaccurate. The list came from the web site of the band Droid, one of the opening acts on the tour, and also the backing band for Korn bassist Fieldy on his Fieldy's Dreams album.
Inside sources report that the Korn tour may include five shows in New York City--one in each of the boroughs: Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.

[ New song information ]

Korn have written a song for their new studio album, 'Take A Look In The Mirror', entitled 'Ya'll Want A Single?'.
The track is a humorous, middle-finger salute to their record company, Sony, for asking the band to "write a radio hit" for their upcoming self-produced album. It opens with frontman Jonathan Davis rapping in a kooky Southern-drawl, "Ya'll want a single? Say fuck That!" before the band blast out some super heavy, down-tuned grooves.
"It's really funny when you think of it," guitarist Munky told Metal Hammer.co.uk. "asking a heavy band like Korn to write a 'radio single'. What were they thinking?!?"

[ Korn are releasing a DVD with the new album ]

[ Korn album delayed ]

Korn's new album has been delayed, till the 1st of December. Lots of rumours have been going around explaining the delay, but the most known one is the rumour that Munky Shaffer's mother has died, and he was too upset to continue recording for a while. If this is true, then I'm sure every Korn fan can express thier deepest sympathy towards James and all of his family in this sad time.

[ Jonathan Davis does promotional work for X-Box ]

Jonathan Davis recently took some time to play X-Box against fans at a gathering. This is to support the new X-Box software, X-Box Live. Apparently, if you have it, you can join Korn online, and challenge them to a few games, and get your ass kicked. n__n

[ new fanfic! ]

We got new fanfic from Ashley Armstrong, and the very talented Squeem. Squeem's fic is rated adult, and is most definately well written.
Part One of Pleasure in Pain is now up, and we're expecting new parts very soon.

[ Fanlisting updated ! ]
I bet you all thought I was dead, huh? Well, not really. I've been working for the past
few months coding a JD fanlisting for all you little webcrawlers to sign.
Its now on a separate, very pretty site, and i hope you all can make it. You'll find the URL
to the site under the [ what have you all put me through...? I'd do it for you. ] section of the Asylum.

[ Asylum font changed ]

After all the requests i was getting to change the font to this place, because its too hard to read,
I've finally changed it back to verdana 7.5. Enjoy it, you whinging swines. <3

[ New Korn song for album confirmed ]

Korn are planning to put a remix of their early, unreleased tracks on Take A Look In The Mirror.
The track is called Alive, and was originally on the bands Debut demo, Neiyerdiemer's Mind.

[ Zane Lowe disses Korn on MTV2 UK's Gonzo ]

MTV UK's Zane Lowe has dissed Korn on air on the channels Gonzo programme, on the 10th of August,
2003. Lowe was reading news on Korns new album, and was questioned by the cameraman as to whether
Untouchables really cost 5 million dollars to make.
he confirmed the total, and then took a guitar, and claimed that Korn paid 5 million dollars to be told to play the
same 2 chord riff over again, while saying thats all that Korn did on Untouchables.

[ New Korn album details confirmed ]

Epic Records have confirmed that the highly anticipated new Korn album will be called "Take A Look Through The Mirror"
and will feature a cover of Metallica's "One" Embedded into the album.
Looking at Korns muscal stylings, It is likely that the cover version will be at the end of the album.

[ Jonathan gets his tourbus painted! ]

Jonathan Davis has recently revamped his tourbus to help promote Jill Kelly productions, who his girlfriend, Deven, is
a spokesperson for. The pictures of the bus are located below. [ Pictures of the tourbus ]

[ Did My Time Video Out ]

I finally saw the new Korn video on TV, and its...well. um. interesting.
Angelina Jolie is walking down the street, and suddenly big waves of darkness
appear. Korn appear with the darkness, and it forms a wall blocking them
and Angelina. Korn play thier music, and she smiles at them alot, and then
she steps through the wall and sings with Jonathan. Then Korn disappear
into the darkness, and she walks away.
......hmmmm.
anyway, the songs good. at first, i hated it, but its one of those that
grow on you. The lyrics arent quite to Jonathans usual standard, but
nonetheless, the guitars in it are very pretty.
Jonathans voice has changed a little, too.

[ asylum cleanup ]

for reasons unbeknown to me, my pc went incredibly...freaky,
after i finished installing a webcam, which made most of the text in the
asylum appear at around 20pt on my PC.
ive cleaned all this up, now, and replaced the large verdana text with small andale mono.

[ Jonathan Davis appears in Kerrang! Magazine again ]

Jonathans appeared in Kerrang! magazine next to Ozzy Osbourne,
to help promote the Ozzfest in the US. As usual with Kerrang!, the interview
itself is a horrendously sloppy piece of journalism, but with some pretty
interesting photographs. Jonathan commented in the magazine about issues like his drinking problem, and
a recent death.

[ new fan added to the listing ! ]

The fanlisting has been updated, and the new profile has been added! Thanks!

[ New Asylum Sector ]

[ i only do it for the fun...thats my game] has just opened, and already ive added a very cool thang to it.
Basically, what the sector is about, is all the funny shit i find on JD, or images i make/doctor end up here monthly, as
a more humourous part of the Asylum. Its a little like [ Jonathan Davis' Bible's ] (RIP) Monthly Chapters.

of course im accepting things off you guys, so send some funny shit in when you got some time on your hands.

[ Korn song stolen....again ]

Korn's latest single has been stolen and it got leaked on 103.3 the edge, a station in ontario, canada,
and downloads of it are readily availiable.
It has been confirmed that downloading Did My time is illegal, and Korn themselves are totally against all downloads of the new single, seeing as they tried so hard to prevent the new album from leaking, like 2001's [ Untouchables ] album.

so, my advice to you is if you are a real fan, do NOT download it. Korn have worked long and hard to
try and stop thier latest album from being downloaded, so please, if you're a fan, wait till the release this monday.
This is the word down from on high, so you don't like it, take it up with someone else.
