Only eats termites as its peg-like teeth are to small to deal with flesh. It dig out
termites from mounds and then laps up the insects with its sticky tongue. When in
danger, it would raise its mane to appear larger than its actual size and would
growl and do mock attacks. Many farmers killed these un-harmful creatures
in the past while mistakenly believing they could catch sheep.
