   JCS Marikina headed by its Fellowship Ministry conducted a free Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) last summer ~ April 30, 2006. the three day summer school was conducted in the town of Cupang, Antipolo, a town just outside the border of Marikina city. The church saw the need to conduct summer school because of the lack of proper education the students of the area were receiving.

    The kids were divided into age groups wherein a dedicated teacher presided over. The groups ranged from primary, secondary, intermediate and advanced. More than sixty kids from two barangays joined. The church gave graduation certificates, diplomas and honor medals on the third day. The church even served snacks or "merienda" for all the students.
     The church had to cut down on the number of days to hold the DVBS due to budget constraints. We have the talents, we have the heart... and God willing with your participation... the budget.

The proud graduates of the primary level! These kids sure gave their teachers a hard time but you could just see the smile on everybody's faces on the day of their graduation.

There were alot of singing and dancing throughout the whole DVBS! All the kids learned to appreciate their family, focus more on their studies and hear and understand the word of God.

Time for a little snack for all the students and participants! Many of the children were asking for a second round of serving both for them and their family but unfortunately there just wasn't enough.
