Dear Classmates,
Jefferson City Senior High School Class of 1963 Reunion will be held on the weekend of June 20th to 22nd. Also on that weekend there is a benefit golf tournament on Saturday, June 21st, which is being held to provide additional funds for the Jay Football Foundation. The tournament will recognize and honor our undefeated 'Class of 1963 Football Team' at a luncheon held between the morning and afternoon flights. At the luncheon the Master of Ceremonies will present a mini biography on each of the senior players on that team, a film of the 1962 Raytown-JCHS football game will be shown, and each participant will receive a copy of that game film. Additionally, each participant will receive an exact copy of the program for the 1962 Jays-Hickman football game. It's a really great opportunity to visit with Coach Atkins and other Jay players, including Justin Smith who owns the golf course on which the Tournament will be held.
For those of you who will consider this tournament, the following information is for you. The fee for the tournament is $125.00, if you play. For those participating in the reunion activities, there will be an 8:00 A.M. shotgun tee-off and will be for eighteen (18) holes. Every attempt will be made to make a complete team comprised of 'Class of 63' golfers. Many of us have participated in this event in the past and it has been a fun and beneficial event. Remember that the profits of this tournament will benefit the Jay Football Foundation which has played a large part in helping to build the locker room facilities at the new Atkins Stadium. If you have questions or wish to register, please contact: Bill Reichard at (573)-635-4103 or Don Perdue at (573)-634-1234. Even if you don't play golf, it is desirable to have as many football team members attend the luncheon as possible. Contact Bill or Don for information.
