Nathan lives with his father, John, and stepmom, Kat�ri,
and is preparing for college (more on this later).
He also is an integral part of The Victorian Villa's
production company in Union City, Michigan.
Welcome. I'm Nathan Sherwood. I am a 20 year old former student at Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek. I used to live in Marshall and now live in Portage. I have been majoring in theater, and have just completed work in two shows in Kalamazoo -- "Rasputin in New York" and "Ebenezer!". I have been acting on stage since I was 4 years old. Both my parents are quite involved in the theater, and because of that I pretty much grew up in the area's civic theaters. For a long while, it was just something I did. It was a hobby. But, over the years, I grew to really have a love and passion for performing. I may not be the best at it, but I feel that is what I'm supposed to do with my life. The photo at the right is me (in red jacket) with other cast members of a production of "Rebel Without a Cause."
I still haven't decided on where to study further. KCC is rather limited as to what I'm looking for. In the next few months, I'll most likely be moving to the Grand Rapids area with some friends of mine. I think I need some time away from it all. I'll most likely stay there for about a year and then move out to the east coast to go to school.
I would have to say that most of my interests involve the arts in some way. First off, as I mentioned before, I'm very into theater. I also really enjoy dancing. For the last two years I've been studying ballet, modern and tap. I wish I had started these things earlier in my life, but I'm really glad I'm finally doing them. In fact, I recently danced the role of the Nutcracker Prince in the Marshall Community Ballet Company's production of The Nutcracker. Something else I enjoy, when I have a chance, is drawing. I really like to sit down from time to time and do some firgure drawing. Maybe I'll put some of my stuff up on this page sometime. Music is another big part of my life. Whether it's listening to, writing it or just playing music, I love it.

Likes: Music, theatre, art, deep and philisophical conversations, individuals, people who don't let other people think for them, "Monty Python's Flying Circus," anything Gothic, martial arts, Asian culture and philosophies, mathmatics, looking at the stars, sitting alone or with someone on the beach watching the sun set (yes, I am one of those cheesy romantics), reading, plays by Shakespeare, wearing strange clothing occasionally, listening to music (anything from Industrial to Classical to New Age, etc.), being active in almost any way.
