IM Back!! : November 30, 2003
Well hello everybody! Its been along time since I have updated this site. Well if you havn't already guessed it, this
site is pretty much dead as far as AOL addons go. I closed my AOL account because I was getting fucked. AOL is going to
eventually file for bankruptcy because the main buisness that created it(internet division) is not making money. And how do
I know this you ask? Well... when you call AOL's customer support to cancel, and AOL gives you 3 free months not to cancel
and AOL charges you anyways, you know AOL is doomed. As of now this sites focus will no longer be on AOL addons.
So what will this site be about know? C++ Tutorials and win32 programming. I have started(Again) to learn the C++ Programming
language(This time I think I've got it) and I will be recording what I have learned to post on this site as tutorials. Mainly
to help other aspiring C++ newbies get a footing. The web is full of C++ tutorials, but I can only find a few that dwelve deep
into the meaning of the win32api functions that are necessary to create a working windows program.
This new jCreations inc. will mainly
be based on C++ programming for the windows enviroment, but I will never know how far it will take me until I actually get started.
The best part about the tutorials on this site will be that they are created by me, a person who knows absolutely nothing about C++ programming
and loves to learn new things. As I go along and I find a function that I have no idea on what its usage is, I will research it and get deep into
The workings of that function and explain it like I would like it to be explained so as not to confuse the average joe like me or you.
Check back soon
for my first tutorial, The Beginings of C++.
Source Code Released!! : June 29, 2003
Well today is a good day, I have released all the source code to some of my programs for all to see and use. The
source code is from the VB6.0 versions of my programs, I will now be porting all the code to VB.Net. The only programs
currently released are F.A.M.E. and my clsLog Class(used to make the cool log files). I will be adding more programs later
it is just taking a long time to sort through all the code and get it ready for release.
Click the "Programming" link in the page toolbar to be whisked away to a digital bank of source code.
C++ is one complicated programming language. I will no longer be experimenting with the C++ programming language.
I figure that im just a hobbiest and I do not need to learn a VERY complex language to make these simple AOL programs, VB.Net will
be perfectly fine for what I need to do. VB.Net is an Object Oriented Programming language and is Pretty
powerful in itself.
I have also started work on a Skin Making Utility called "The Skin Machine" What it will do is allow me (or
anyone who would like to) to easily develop skin files for any of my future programs. A Skin File is a file that
contains all the images and data needed to display a custom user interface for a program. If another programmer wants
to use "The Skin Machine" to make skins for his/her program, all he/she would have todo is create a master skin file
for his/her program and voila! The Skin Machine is mainly for my personal use but I will release it incase anybody
might be interested.
Where is the Bug Fixes? : June 12, 2003
Hello everybody!! on to my main concern, all the AOL programs that you all have come here to
to download, I have been getting some bug reports but unfortunetly I cannot make the bug fixes due
to my lack of AOL, so I appologize for the inconvienance.
Everything is coming along pretty good in my learning of the C++ Programming Language. Learning an all new programming
language is very hard especially one as complicated as C++, and to make it even more difficult I have no
internet connectivety to download information and sample source code to study. Once I get a job,
Hopefully soon, I will take a class on C++ to further propel myself into the inner workings of a real programming
language.
Pretty soon I will be posting my source code to all my AOL programs so that you the people may learn
and use, so I look forward to the next update.
Anyways, Thanks For Coming
The Bad News... : June 02, 2003
Whats up everybody I bet you all thought I was dead. Well im not. Got some bad news for all of
you I no longer an Aol member. My account was shut off because I couldnt pay the bill. I can no
longer update any of the programs so what you got is what you get. Anyways when I get some work and
get back on my feet I will revive my account and continue to update and create the great programs that
you all enjoy.
When I do come back I will no longer be programming in cheap ass vb6.0, all my programs will be created
in the fast, efficient and extremely powerful language of C++! Yay! And if anybody has an Aol account
they would like to donate to the cause I will greatly appreciate it.
