The smears show cellularity of high grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Immunophenotyping revealed a B-cell lymphoma. Extensive work up did not reveal lymphadenopathies or other organ involvement, alpha fetoprotein level was not elevated. Negative serology for HIV and HCV. The case has been considered a primary hepatic lymphoma, a quite rare entity. To our knowledge is the fifth case diagnosed by FNA cytology. The other cases were reported by
