Peggy's Cove, NS
Peggy's Cove is a famous fishing village in Nova Scotia.  It is crowded with visitors from all over the world.
This is the much-photographed lighthouse.  If you can go in sunny weather you will see more, but it's interesting in the fog also.  A person must be careful while trying to look at the waves, or the "surf", as locals call it.  Many people have been killed when a large wave suddenly comes too close.
The water is calm inside the Cove, while the waves crash outside of it.  The small homes are lovely, and the seagulls cry and sit on the buildings.  Robert and I like the black-backed gulls.  You can watch the fishermen working also.
Some years ago, a long sculpture in the granite was made to honour the numerous fishermen who died at sea through the years.

There is a big restaurant and several giftshops on the grounds.  You can buy your own Maritime yellow rainhat!
This is a good view you don't always see due to the fog. >

The landscape has granite boulders and different types of lichen and some plantlife unique to only this spot.  When you drive in the area, many times you see a  small still pond with a large black-and-white seagull standing on a rock in the middle of it.  It is one of the best areas to visit in Canada.
