NOW ON THIS MODEL THE METHOD OF TIMING WAS VERY EASY TO SET. ON THE TIMING GEAR HOUSINGS THERE WAS A SIX SIDED NUT WITH A NIPPLE ABOUT ONE INCH LONG. THE WAY TO TIME THE CAR WAS AS FOLLOWS..REMOVE THE NUT, TURN IT AROUND AND PLACE IT IN THE HOLE YOU HAD JUST REMOVED IT. THEN SLOWLY PRESS IN ON IT AS YOU TURNED THE CRANK UNTIL THE HEAD OF THE NIPPLE FELL IN. OF COURSE YOU HAD TO MAKE SURE THE POINTS OPENED ON NUMBER ONE CYLINDER. THATS ALL THERE WAS TO. VERY EASY...
I TAUGHT MY BROTHER THIS METHOD OF TIMING AND FROM THAT DAY ON NO MATTER WHETHER THE CAR WAS OUT OF GAS OR IF ANYTHING STOPPED THE CAR HE WOULD GET OUT AND TIME THE DAMM THING.
