BiographyWinona Laura Horowitz, also known as Noni, was born on October 29, 1971 to Michael and Cindy Horowitz, and was named after the town in which she was born, Winona, Minnesota. She has one sister, Sunyata, two brothers, Jubal and Uri, and is the Goddaughter of the famous Timothy Leary. Her family moved to Northern California where Winona studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. She graduated high school in Petaluma Ca. with honors in 1989. Three years earlier(1986) Winona was cast in the movie, Lucas, and adopted the screen name Winona Ryder. She has since had roles in over twenty-five movies, and has demonstrated her versatility giving one brilliant performance after another. Winona Ryder has earned the right to be called one of the great actresses of all time. |
