| Our four wonderful Japanese exchange students laboured very hard in the church kitchen to produce some absolutely scrumptuous Japanese food. We had tasty chicken on kebab sticks and a special kind of Japanese omlete called Okonomiyai cut into triangles with a sweet kind of sauce on them. Plus, there was a fish soup with noodles. We borrowed some knee-high tables from the Jnr Kidzone and decked them out with a white tablecloth and red napkins to look kind of like the Japanese flag. Our NIYMers sat on the ground Japanese-style to eat. The opinion of those that I talked to was "Oishi desu ne!" which means "Very delicious!" |
