| Liberal Logic's Illogical |
| Part of what drives me nuts about liberals is their logic. It makes absolutely no sense to one of average intelligence. And, they their boldly assert their crazy ideology when the facts clearly indicate they are certifiably crazy. Here are a few examples. |
| ANWR: Our country is more dependent upon foreign oil than at any time during the so-called oil crisis of the 1970's. It looks like there may be huge reserves located in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge. This reserve is 19,800,000 acres. The proposed drilling is on 2,000 acres in the Coastal Plain section. Yet the liberals claim that drilling on this small amount of the area of the refuge will destroy it and all wildlife on it (hey, I can exagerate, the liberals do). Think about it ... 2,000 acres out of 19,800,000. Only a liberal would find that the ANWR will be destroyed with such a small percentage being drilled. Liberal logic's illogical. |

| Bill Clinton: It is with Bill Clinton that the liberals pulled out all stops in their illogical pontifications. No matter what the scandal was, from Whitewater to pardoning convicted Terrorists, from granting waivers for the export of technology to Communist China to taking furniture out of the White House to furnish their new private home, the manner in which they rallied behind their hero was unbelievable. One simple example suffices. When it came to extramarital sex the liberals' mantra was, "They all do it!" For some reason that should make it right. However, even the liberals conceded that there was no evidence of Presidents Nixon, Carter, Ford, Reagan, or Bush (the elder) having ever cheated. But the liberals continued to proclaim, "They all do it!" And, with the fact that most married liberal women would probably throw their husbands out of the house if they did what Bill Clinton did, they still defended their idol proclaiming, "They all do it!" Liberal logic's illogical. |
| Big Government: The liberals are clearly for a larger and larger and more intrusive Federal Government. Back in 1998 when Bill Clinton gave the State of the Union address he proclaimed, "The era of big government is over." The liberals cheered. They had now taken over a Republican issue. Unfortunately, what Clinton continued to advocate in this speech was approximately 29 new Federal Government programs without cutting any of the established programs. This was clearly a liberal platform. Yet the liberals cheered that Clinton had ended the era of big government. An expansion via 29 new programs was clearly not the end of the era of big government, but the continuation of the Democrats' dream of a larger and more intrusive Federal Government. Clearly the liberals loved this. But they pontificated on how Clinton was shrinking the Federal Government (actually, mainly through the degradation of our military). Yes, only a liberal could see that such a platform would end the era of big government. Liberal logic's illogical. |
| Socialized Medicine: I remember when Senator Ted Kennedy went around the country extolling the virtues of the English system of Socialized Medicine. Then, when it became apparent that England could not control costs except by rationing care, Senator Kennedy quit talking about the English system. Instead, he began talking about the Canadian system of Socialized Medicine. Now that Canada cannot control costs except by rationing care, he no longer talks about the Canadian model, or the English model. Instead, he just talks about Socialized Medicine (you do remember HillaryCare, don't you?). The liberals would love to take over our free-market approach to medical care, which has, unarguably given us the best medical care on the planet. They continue to push for an American model of socialized medical care. Some even went so far as to claim that Cuba had better medical care than the United States! Two democracies and two failed models of Socialized Medicine ... only the liberals can see how great they are. Liberal logic's illogical. |
