| 26 Weeks |
| October 15, 2002 I'm at the point now where I'm feeling as big as a house and it's getting difficult to do things. All to be expected of course. It's just a little funny how you totally forget what it's like and then it hits you and you think "oh yeah, this is what the third trimester feels like!" lol, not quite at the 3rd trimester yet, but will be next week. I expect to take some pictures tomorrow of my belly so I will put them up here soon. I went for my blood tests today so I'm sure the results will be in soon. She won't call if everything is alright, but if something is up with my liver causing the itchiness I expect a phonecall within a few days. I've been pretty tired lately, but I think it's more to do with being busy than it is related to the pregnancy. It's just been so busy starting with last Thursday (our Dr appt/ultrasound day) and then all weekend I was busy with family and friends. Baby is still very active, certainly the most active baby I've ever had. And all in all I am feeling quite well. I'm 26 weeks pregnant October 16, 2002 I took some pictures today. Almost wasn't able to because my husband cleaned up the other day and put everything away in a different spot so I couldn't find the darn remote. Finally found it in a dresser under some stuffed animals! Click here to see the album. I'm 26 weeks 1 day pregnant October 22, 2002 I assume the blood tests I had done for my liver levels turned out fine as I have yet to recieve a phonecall. That's good news, guess I was itchy "just because". This week was pretty uneventful, which is always a good thing. I hope it's like this until the end. I'm pretty sure this little man is still laying transverse (sideways) as I can feel baby poking out the sides of my tummy past my hip bones. I don't think he realizes that there is not enough room for him to lay like that!! Deb mentioned that he's probably still all stretched out too with his hand behind his head and I tend to agree with her. It sure feels like he's stretched out in there! I was reading up on how to get babies to turn (because if he doesn't I will end up needing a c-section and I'd rather not have this 5th baby end up being my first c-section!). I few women suggested putting something really cold (like a bag of frozen peas) on my belly where the baby's head is and then he is supposed to move away from it. So I got a can of pop out of the fridge the other day and tried it. My husband proceeded to tell me how mean I was being to the baby freezing his poor little head. So I stopped. But, it did wake him up that's for sure. Didn't stop kicking me for about an hour it seemed like. Trying to get me back I suppose. Another suggestion is putting a flashlight near the bottom of my belly and supposedly he will turn towards the light. Worth a try. The other suggestions are things like pelvic tilts, getting on my hands and knees and rocking my hips back and forth and other things like that. I'm 6 months pregnant here, can we say ouch! lol Seriously though, I did the hands and knees thing the other day and it felt like I was going to break a few bones and my back didn't forgive me for a while either. Not to mention it took my husband's help to get me up off the floor, glad I didn't try that while he was at work!!! I guess it's about time to put my digital camera to work again, these weeks just seem to fly by! I'll try to take some pics today or tomorrow and get them up soon. I'm 27 weeks pregnant |
