| July 16, 2002 We have a fun little game going where we pick the baby's birthdate, gender, and weight and we'll see who comes the closest. Here's everyone's guesses so far: Me Deb Jason Mel (my friend) Jan 20 Jan 18 Jan 13 Jan 11 girl boy girl girl 9lbs 9lbs 6oz No weight guess yet 10lbs 4oz (she's mean!) She also still thinks I may be having twins and the ultrasound just missed the other baby :-) Henry has no guess yet, we'll get his answers down soon! Last night I had a dream that I found out I was having twin boys at my next ultrasound. What a shocker!! All those baby dreams are so fun! Deb told me she had a dream the other night that she was pregnant too. I guess we all have babies on our minds all the time! I'm feeling quite good lately. No bad symptoms at all, except of course I'm soooooooo hot all the time. But the weather has been extremely hot and dry lately so I'd be too hot even if I wasn't pregnant. I'm 13 weeks 5 days pregnant July 19, 2002 Jason now has a weight guess. I personally think he's off his rocker :-) He says 7lbs 14oz. I tried to remind him that both our kids were more than 8 1/2 lbs and even one of the twins was 7lbs, but he says that's his guess and he's sticking to it. We'll see, I just can't imagine giving birth to a small baby after having given birth to 13lbs of baby a year earlier! Oh well, it would be nice if he was right, lol! I'm doing very well with the pregnancy. For the most part I feel terrific. I'm a little sleepy lately which I figure means that the baby is growing. And I'm having leg cramps again so I'll start taking my calcium supplement again. I'm 14 weeks 1 day pregnant July 20, 2002 I went for a visit to Deb and Henry's farm today. We moved some cows from one field to another, which involved being in a truck driving through very bumpy fields. I'm sure the baby must have thought I was on a rollercoaster!!! I do believe that will be my last cow moving experience until the baby arrives!! I felt a little green near the end, lol. Henry has a guess for the baby now. He thinks it is a boy and he will be born on January 22 (originally said 25th, but Deb and I told him he was wrong! hahaha) and will weigh 9lbs 1oz. He wanted to say 9lbs, but he couldn't because that was my guess. I finally gave them the ultrasound picture that we got at 8 weeks. I had taken it originally to scan it into the computer and planned on giving it to Deb next time we saw each other. I guess it's been a long time since we had a visit! Deb has had a suspicion all along (as well as my friend Mel) that I'm expecting twins but one was missed on the ultrasound. I wouldn't be surprised if it were twins, but I still think the u/s tech was right and there is just one baby in there. Anyway, I as looking at the picture today and noticed an area beside the baby's sac where it looks like there might be another sac! Of course I think it's most likely just something else, but now Deb is very curious to see what the next u/s says. She also figures my tummy is too big to only have one baby too :-) I feel much better after having taken my calcium supplement yesterday and today. I've also been drinking milk more so hopefully these leg cramps will take a hike! I'm 14 weeks 2 days pregnant July 26, 2002 I have an appt with Dr L for August 1st. I'm curious to see how big I'm measuring because I feel huge. I've been measuring myself and I'm usually pretty accurate, and I've been getting about 20cm which is pretty darn big for 15 weeks. I've been checking out those weekly pregnancy development websites and all tell me that at this point my uterus should be 3-4inches below my belly button, but here I am feeling it about an inch above! That's one big baby! Our ultrasound should be scheduled for about 2 weeks after that appt, can't wait. It's been way too hot all summer. I can't stand the heat. I took the kids swimming in the lake yesterday and it really does help cool me off a little. Of course within an hour I'm back to wanting to crawl into my freezer. Luckily today the hot weather has given me a break and its grey and cloudy----wooohoooo! I'm 15 weeks 1 day pregnant |
