| 10 Weeks |
| June 8, 2001 Not much to update today. Everything is still going well. My bleeding has gone away. I think the babies made me have that bleeding episode so I could find out there were 2 of them. I probably wouldn't have found out until 18 weeks if everything had been fine. Boy that would have been a shock to find out at 18 weeks!! I started taking some extra vitamins yesterday. Now I take my prenatal, and calcium supplement and a folic acid supplement. I saw a picture yesterday of a woman I know who is 19 weeks pregnant with twins. It scared me a little because she looked full term, but she's only half way through!! I can't even imagine how big I'm going to get! According to my newsletter, the babies are each about the size of a plum. And by the end of the week they have most of their organs functioning. They are now moving around, although I probably won't feel them for another month or two. I'm 10 weeks pregnant June 8, 2001 (again) My old doctor's office gave me quite a scare today. The hospital still had him listed as my doctor so they sent him the results of my ultrasound instead of Dr. L. The receptionist from the old doctor's office phoned me today because he wanted me to come in to discuss the results. So I explained that I was seeing Dr. L now and that I had seen her since I got the ultrasound. She told me she would fax the results to Dr. L but that I needed to phone her and make an appointment to discuss the results. Anyway, I got worried because Dr at the hospital told me everything was fine and so did the ultrasound tech. And Dr. L also told me everything was good. I wondered if maybe they found something that they hadn't seen before. So I phoned Dr. L's office and talked to the receptionist there. I asked her if I needed to come in AGAIN (third time in just over a week!) and she said she didn't think so and then read my results to me. It said that there were 2 good heartbeats and good fetal movement. It said that there was some bleeding but it looks insignificant and the prognosis for the pregnancy is good. She told me she'd leave it on the doc's desk and if she did want to see me she'd give me a call. So I was worried for nothing. I just wonder why the other receptionist made such a big deal about me making another appointment. Who knows, but I'm glad I'm with Dr. L's office now, they all seem to know more of what's going on. Still 10 weeks pregnant with twins miracles. June 11, 2001 I'm spending my time trying to rest. It's really hard with my two little kids (and of course the dog and cat too). If I rest for a while, the spotting totally goes away, but if I'm up for a little while it comes right back. So it's very frustrating to be up and down all the time. My mom is away on vacation and Jason's mom is pretty busy too, so I don't really have anyone who can help. I'm not sure what to do. I think I might have to hire a babysitter for a couple of days for when Jason isn't around. Right now I need to rest more and I'm just not getting enough. Anyway, enough time at the computer, it's off to the couch for me. I'm 10 weeks 3 days pregnant June 14, 2001 Well, just as I suspected, when Jason went to work my spotting came back. It's not bad, but it's driving me crazy. He was home for 2 days so I camped out on the couch for those days and it went completely away. The babies now have names! Well, the IPs only picked out one name for each sex, so I think they need to come up with 2 more names just in case. I do think it's a boy and a girl, but I'm not psychic! Anyway, if they are a boy and a girl, their names will be Michael Daniel and Michelle Ann. I told Tayler what their names are and he calls the Michael and "Shell" :-) he's so cute. I'm 10 weeks 6 days pregnant. |
