| I sincerely hope this effort is interesting to many and genuinely useful to some. As I�ve worked with the names, I have sorted them to find possible family relationships. I�ve looked at individual units and wondered what battles caused such casualties. I�ve arranged burials by date to see the order in which the sections were filled. And as laborious as the experience has been, it has only impressed upon me even more that this is but one cemetery with the records of only a small fraction of the lives, North and South, that this nation sacrificed to become what we are today.
