Fresh Mustard Or Turnip Greens
2 bunches of greens
1 lrg. Onion, chopped
¼ # salt meat or bacon
2 tbsp. Oil if not using bacon
Clean greens & remove hard stems. Rinse at least 3 times. Use large pot & add greens with water dripping off. Cook down
to wilt good. In smaller pot fry bacon or salt meat in oil. Add onion & fry till yellow. Add chopped greens & cook till done. If
bacon used, add salt & pepper, If salt meat used, add only pepper. Tastes as good with corn bread!
