TOBY'S MOM'S CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS

I use the boney pieces of the fryer. Salt and pepper the pieces and pot fry them in enough grease so they won't stick. When good and brown, add water and let it boil till chicken is done. While that's going, beat 6 eggs, add a pinch of salt, pinch of baking powder and flour to the eggs. Continue to add flour and mix till batter gets to where you can roll it out. Roll thin on floured board and cut into strips about 1 inch by 3 inches. Add one at a time to the boiling chicken. Cook 5 to 10 minutes after all the dumplings are in the pot. I have used as many as 12 eggs to feed my bunch when they are dumplin hungry.
