Aunt Sadie's Corn Bread
1 cup flour
1 cup corn meal
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons melted shortening
Mix all together, well. Heat 1 or 2 tablespoons oil in pan. Pour in the batter. Bake at 375 till brown. Serve hot out of the oven
in a bowl with cold milk poured over it. Now that's eating country style.
